Cats in trees!

The furry felines currently staying at the Ottawa Humane Society love the addition of new cat trees to their condo-style living arrangements.

“The cat trees are such a great addition to the Adoption Centre,” said Bruce Roney, Executive Director of the Ottawa Humane Society. “You can tell the cats love them. They are playing and relaxing and they’re perched on the highest platforms observing everything that’s going on.”

The platforms not only help keep the cats exercised, but allow for a bit of separation when play time is over and make great use of the space in the cat rooms.

The cat area of the Adoption Centre is bright and sunny and has very few individual cages in favour of open-concept rooms that allow the cats to play and interact.

The Adoption Centre now has a forest of cat trees allowing lots of comfy places for the cats to lounge as they wait to be adopted.

The Adoption Centre at the new Ottawa Humane Society at 245 West Hunt Club Road is open from Monday to Friday 11 am to 7 pm or Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. Contact the adoption centre at 613-725-3166 ext. 258 or
